Mirrors in Chuanghua ():
It’s nearly the New Year, and CES – the Consumer Electronics Show is happening during the first week of January in Las Vegas.
I’m excited to head there with the hope that it will be far more normal to attend conferences and shows how they looked before the pandemic.
And what is special about CES this year is that the Vivaldi browser is present in some of the new gadgets and technologies that are being unveiled there.
The show is like a candy store for tech-oriented folks displaying the newest TVs, audio equipment, digitally driven home appliances, and advances in home health. And most recently, it has become a showcase for many of the major automakers to show off their newest smart autos and digitally integrated interiors and features.
Speaking of automotive, we are proud to be the only browser available on Android Automotive. The Vivaldi browser opens, almost, endless opportunities for the automotive industry.
We want to give you the best browsing experience, even in cars. This year, our work in the automotive realm has gained speed and we are excited to be part of the following at the CES:
Vivaldi on the passenger display of the Digital Cockpit in TomTom Indigo.
Vivaldi will be showcased on the passenger display of the TomTom Digital Cockpit.
TomTom Digital Cockpit is an Android Automotive (AAOS) based infotainment platform that integrates TomTom’s mapping and location technology. Vivaldi is available as one of the partner applications on this platform.
If you want to see this in action, visit the West Hall Booth #W311 from 5th January.
Witness the SPARQ infotainment system live in action with Vivaldi Browser integrated.
SPARQ will present their Android Automotive (AAOS) solution on their hardware prototype where you can witness their infotainment system live in action – with Vivaldi Browser integrated. There’s a lot more to discover at their booth at LVCC, WEST HALL, 7312.
SPARQ OS **** provides a turnkey infotainment solution for Android Automotive OS with a short development time and lower investment costs. SPARQ OS comes with Appstore, FOTA, and navigation out-of-the-box.
This platform helps vehicle makers, system integrators, software development companies, and content providers with a secure environment to develop automotive applications for infotainment systems.

Look for the Polestar 3 SUV and catch your favorite browser, Vivaldi.
Vivaldi is available in Polestar 2 since December 2021. And now we are on board in the new Polestar 3 SUV.
Polestar and Smart Eye will demonstrate the Polestar 3 driver monitoring system at the Smart Eye stand in the West Hall booth #W6353 from 5th January.
The Polestar 3 features an infotainment system powered by Android Automotive OS. Using onboard functions via the vehicle’s center screen is very easy and familiar for customers, especially those accustomed to Android devices like smartphones, tablets, and TVs. People can browse with the Vivaldi browser and more native apps in this infotainment system.
Vivaldi is being used for streaming in Nvidia GeForce Now.
Nvidia GeForce Now is a cloud gaming service where you can play your favorite games hosted on remote servers and streamed over the internet to one of the supported devices, in this case, Vivaldi on Polestar 2.
As Vivaldi uses WebRTC technology, it works very well for streaming. You just have to go to a NVIDIA website, log in and connect a game controller to the USB port of the car and play the game. The performance of this service is extremely impressive in the car, and you can enjoy the sound system to the fullest. You can find more details here.
Our foray into the automotive industry and more platforms is just an example of how much we want you to enjoy your browsing whether it is at home, at work, or on the move!
I am looking forward to the products, prototypes, and ideas doing their best job of signaling the future in this tech showcase.
And if you want to say hello, please drop in a message at http://social.vivaldi.net/@jon or <https://twitter.com/jonsvt>. I am at the CES from the 5th to the 8th of January and am happy to connect. 🙂
See you there!
